Well about the strength thing, it is true that Gohan was weaker at the beginning of the Buu saga than he was at the end of the Cell saga. It is also true as we all agree, that the dear boy spent seven years err- training his mind instead of his body. However, it is untrue to say that Gohan directly post Buu was weaker than the boy who fought against Cell. Consider it, it's been stated the Mystic is nearly as strong as, if not as strong as SSJ3, which is defiantly more powerful than SSJ2, true? As to the Mystic power up itself, I recall the elder Kai telling Gohan that going SSJ as a Mystic would be a nasty experience to say the least. As for the power ever increasing story... I don't know. After all, the demi-Saiya-jin can only put out as much power as his body can handle, and if he stops training it would seem true that his body would eventually handle less power. (Until the point came that he would need to actually train again, for whatever reason...) So as much as I love my Gohan, and would want him to be always all powerful... I don't think that theory holds water. Now then, about adult Gohan. I shudder to think at how they mangled him in GT, so I'm not terribly inclined to use that as my example. He seemed to have forgotten Mystic there... and gone back to SSJ forms. Big hole in the plot there... (yes, I know that is because Toriyama-sama had nothing to do with GT.) And so, while adult Gohan is a book worm, to be sure... I just can't imagine that he became that weak.... All though I am terribly biased toward Gohan, so the last is just opinion. ~DoC |

Strongest of All

The only reason they took away his Mystic form was because they knew that with it he was stronger than Goku & they wanted to make Goku the strongest again. |

To speak of, no he didn't. Which is why it was... ah, so full of holes. Not to say that Akira Toriyama himself always tied up all of the lose ends, but that was worse. Gomen-ne, I'm not a big GT fan. Those who are, please don't take my negative additude toward the spin off as insult. |

Training hard !!

Didnt gohan lose his mystic for after he died when kid buu blew up the earth. It's the only answer i thought of, and it seem very possible. The unlock potential was only an upgrade, and i dont think it owuld remain after death. The effects probably wore off. That added with gohans retirement from martial arts is the reason hes gotten so weak over the years. |

I want to know, what ever happened to his tail? |

To Gohan's tail? It was removed first while training with Piccolo for the Saiya-jins (after going Ozaroo on his Namek-sensei). It grew back during the Saiya-jin Saga, which was how with Vegita's created moon light, the little demi-Saiya-jin squished the Prince. If you choose to factor in movies, that darn tail grew in a few more times, but movies tend to be non-cannon so... After the Saiya-jin saga in the series Gohan never sees that tail again. Kogu, you bring up an interesting arguement for Mystic. I would want to disagree... not on the basis of facts, as no one could really know, but rather on the concept that Toriyama-sama would not have put Gohan through 25 hours with that Elder Kai pervert only to loose that awsome power the first time he dies.... ~DoC |
